This morning I’m warming up with some Guayaki Organic Pure Heart tea and I have to say, its really delicious! I love traditional yerba mate but when blended with raspberry, hawthorne berry, yarrow and rooibos, you really can’t go wrong!
If you’ve never heard of yerba mate, its a traditional South American drink that is made from the leaves and stems of a powerful rainforest tree native to Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. It is known as the most balanced stimulant delivering both energy and nutrition as it naturally contains 24 vitamins and minerals, 15 amino acids, and abundant antioxidants (yay antioxidants!).
The cool thing about Guayaki Organic is that they are dedicated to reforestation and have preserves in Paraguay (Itabo Preserve and Kue-Tuvy, Ache Guayaki Preserve) and Brazil (Cofaeco). Projects have included replanting yerba mate trees in their native habitats, generating plans for economic alternatives for the Ache Guayaki community and building sustainable practices while employing organic standards to become an economic alternative to raising cattle which is destroying the biodiversity of the rainforest.
The Guayaki Organic teas comes in tea bags, loose leaf and bottled varieties in flavors like Traditional Yerba Mate, Greener Green Tea, Chai Spice Mate, Mate Chocolatte, Pure Endurance, Pure Heart, Pure Empower Mint, and Red Tea Mate.
