Let’s face it, no matter how healthy we try to be, we all fall victim to snacking - for me, its on those especially busy workdays, or after a long run or a day on the slopes, or sometimes while watching movies on a Saturday night. I found a few different foods that help me get through the day and satisfy my snack food cravings without compromising my healthy diet.

Here’s the top ten snacks foods I recommend:

1. Mauk Family Farms Raw Flax Seed Crisps - I really love Mauk Family Farms Raw Flax Seed Crisps Organic Jalapeno flavor. They’re a delicious and healthy way to snack during the workday. They’re totally organic, natural and raw containing only flaxseed, garlic, jalapeno, lemon peel powder, sea salt, and water. They aren’t terribly spicy but still really tasty and what’s even better, they’re filling! With a salad at lunch, a few pieces of this stuff, I’m good to go. They are high in fiber - 11.9 grams and protein - 8.3 grams and duh, WHOLE GRAINS!

2. Mary’s Gone Crackers - I absolutely love Mary’s Gone Crackers Black Pepper Crackers and the Chipotle Tomato Sticks & Twigs. I like them plain, topped with a little goat cheese or dipped in soMary\'s Gone Crackersme of Raquel’s Spicy Hummus. They’re not only delicious and a great way to stave off afternoon hunger, they’re also organic, wheat and gluten-free. They are made with quinoa, flax seeds, and sesame seeds. They come in a few different varieties: Original, Crumbs and Sticks & Twigs in flavors like original, black pepper, caraway, curry, chipotle tomato, herb and onion.

3. Food Mill Peanut Butter (creamy or crunchy) - I love Food Mill’s all natural peanut butter with a banana or apple slices. Food Mill peanut butter is hand-made and only contains peanuts and salt. YUM!

4. Newman’s Organics Thin Stick Pretzels - If you’re craving salty food, try Newman’s Own Organics Thin Stick Pretzels. They’re really tasty and made with natural ingredients including organic unbleached wheat flour, organic brown rice syrup, organic sunflower oil, salt, yeast, and soda.

5. Crispy Cat Organic Candy Bars - Sometimes you just need a chocolate candy bar. Crispy Crispy Cat Candy BarsCat candy bars use all real, high-quality ingredients like organic brown rice syrup, organic coconut, organic dark chocolate, and organic brown rice crisp. They are totally delicious and come in three great flavors: mint coconut, toasted almond, and roasted peanut.

6. Newman’s Own Organics Soy Crisps - These little treats are made with organic soy and rice and come in four varieties including: cinnamon sugar, white cheddar (my personal favorite), lightly salted and barbecue and contain between 7 and 9 grams of protein depending on which you try! They also taste great in soup.

7. Kaia Foods Cocao Bliss Granola - I love Kaia Foods Cocoa Bliss granola. For me, its perfect in a handful as a snack or in the morning with a little milk. Kaia Foods makes raw granola made from buckwheat, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, coconut, flax seeds, agave nectar, plus dried fruits and seasonings.

8. Living Nutz - I know I’ve mentioned how much I love Living Nutz before but these are just the most delicious nuts I have ever tasted. I just had to mention them again. Try the Mayan Chili Pistachios, the I Love Vegan Cheezy or General Tao’s 3 Seed Mix.

9. Attune Foods - Ok, another one I’ve posted about before but these are just so good, I couldn’t resist. Great for a mid-day snack, a day on the slopes or after a long run.

10. Pop Chips - Pop Chips are all-natural chips that are made by neither frying or baking. InsPopChipstead, they use wholesome potatoes, apply heat & pressure and then pop, you have chips. My favorite Pop Chips are the salt & pepper flavor. They also come in original, babeque, sea salt & vinegar, and parmesan garlic.
