Mom’s Obesity Tied to Birth Defects

by jamie on February 10, 2009

Obesity is such a huge problem in this country and often times even more dangerous than smoking (which I don’t recommend either).  According to a recent article in USA Today, women who are obese when they get pregnant have an increased risk of having a  baby with birth defects like heart defects, cleft palates, and hydrocephaly.

Just another reason to put down that cheeseburger and jump on the treadmill.
