Can Positive Vibes in Your Chocolate Improve Mood?

by jamie on March 31, 2009

Can food infused with good vibes from meditation, music, prayer or poetry affect your mood?

According to a recent Time Magazine article,  Dean Radin, a senior scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences seeems to think so.  He recently conducted a study that showed that people who ate Intentional Chocolate, a chocolate company that exposes their chocolate to electromagnetic brain wave recordings of meditating Tibetan monks to infuse their chocolate with good intentions,  improved their mood 67% compared with people who ate regular chocolate.

I’m not sure if its the monks in the Intentional Chocolate or what, but I always find myself in a good mood when eating it.  Maybe if I start bringing it with me to yoga, I’ll get a double dose of positive vibes…

The real story here is ‘When does chocolate NOT improve one’s mood.’

That’s what I’m saying…chocolate always improves my mood. But, if its infused with meditation, does that increase my chance for good mood? How about if I bring it to yoga? :)
