I’ve always thought that too many cooks in the kitchen was a bad thing until I recently discovered Foodista, an online recipe site. Foodista is similar to Wikipedia, only for everything food related. It includes thousands of recipes and information about cooking tools. It allows community members to upload recipes, photos, and other information as well as edit pages about ingredients, food or other community added recipes.
While I haven’t yet uploaded any recipes, I have definitely absorbed some of the tasty tidbits available on Foodista. For instance, I did a search for spaghetti squash (one of my very favorite foods) and found a number of interesting results. I learned that its also called Calabash and can be stored for up to a month. Seriously, who knew that spaghetti squash had such a long counter life? And then I found recipes. I have always thought my spaghetti squash recipe ruled the universe; but there were many tasty looking recipes on Foodista that might force me to give up my spaghetti squash throne! I found Spaghetti Squash Pie, Baked Spaghetti Squash, Cheesy Baked Spaghetti Squash and much much more!
Check it out, you’ll find something tasty!
