In Complete [Coconut] Bliss

by jamie on August 31, 2009

I haven’t had ice cream in ages but when I tried Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge, I knew I’d been missing out! This addictive treat is made from coconut milk, agave syrup, organic chocolate, and organic hazelnuts — so its completely dairy and soy free and doesn’t contain any refined sugar. Delicious!

I saw they also have chocolate peanut butter — which I cannot wait to try next!

I got so excited about these until I saw the calories. I know that you aren’t a dieter, so you can indulge and good for you!! I can just dream from afar! :-D

Did you find this at Andronico’s or Whole Foods?

For those of us who are counting calories like Deb and I, Purely Decadent coconut milk ice cream has lots less fat and calories than Larry & Luna’s, and I think it tastes even better!

I’ll have to try Purely Decadent., thanks for the tip..I’m definitely not against low calorie! I NEVER eat ice cream, so saw coconut based, non-dairy and thought HOOORAY!!!

Jamie–thanks for your lovely review. I know you’re just joking when you refer to Coconut Bliss as addictive, but lots of people really do relate to desserts as drugs and sometimes use them to help cope with pain, grief, fear, loneliness, or anxiety, or to substitute for important things that are missing from their lives. For many people this is a very serious issue, as are all substance addictions. When Luna and I created Coconut Bliss, our vision was to try to foster a different way of relating to desserts. We imagined people eating our products as a celebration of life– as a focusing of consciousness through an act of intentional sensual enjoyment. We hope we have succeeded, at least in some small measure, and we are encouraged by the kind feedback that we receive from so many of our customers.

I’ve been wanting to try this ice cream so bad. I finally found it but it was too expensive for my budget. I’m thinking I’m going to try it out this month for sure!
