Bryan and I really slept in on Saturday morning - I don’t think we were actually out of bed until like 10:30. After a very hectic week for both of us and a very fun lady’s happy hour on Friday night for me, we decided we both really needed sleep, relaxation and a chance to get some shit done.
First things first: a Daddy Cakes pancake breakfast complete with Coombs Family Farms pure maple syrup,Mountain Foods Co Strawberry Gem fruit spread and Guayaki Yerba Mate. Delish!
Since we did the whole brunch thing and seriously just relaxed all day, we didn’t really eat again until dinner. It had been a long time since we made one of the Thrive Diet pizzas and omg, we were way overdue. We tried to the Chili Kidney Pizza and added a few toppings of our own - tomatoes, bell pepper, mushrooms, carrots, onions, and bean sprouts. Oh so good!
Once it was time to make the sauce, I realized that I completely forgot the sun-dried tomatoes. Dammit! So instead, I used a bit of tomato paste, a little vino, cucumber, roma tomatoes, garlic, and rosemary. It was a good sauce - I was super proud! :)
