I’m obsessed with Kombucha. Completely and totally obsessed. It got to the point where I was drinking it almost every day and spending between $4.00-$6.00 on a bottle of either GT’s Organic Gingerade or Kombucha Wonder Drink Asian Pear and Ginger (this one tends to be a little harder to find).
Finally, my prayers were answered — I now have my very own kombucha culture and finished my very first brew of Asian Pear Green Tea. Overall, I’d give it a B-. I think it was a tad on the sweet side and probably could have fermented for a tad longer, maybe 2-3 more days. But for a first brew, I’d say it was pretty decent! Here’s my little culture brewing away…
Kind of looks like a jellyfish…
Great tips on making your kombucha here.

I am also kind of obsessed with Kombucha….might have to give this a try!
Thanks for giving me very first taste of kombucha! It was really yummy and the perfect after yoga drink! I’d give it an A!
I think I may have to try this now. I’ve been wanting to brew my own…yep, it’s getting expensive for my wallet!
I had a kombucha culture for awhile when I had my intense job–I had trouble keeping up with the brewing and the feeding. And unfortunately, didn’t have the time to spend nurturing my recipe. Thanks for the inspiration!! Maybe I’ll try it again now that I’m more settled.
I finally tried the GingerAde Kombucha and loved it. I like how its kind of fizzy and not too sweet. Thanks for the recommendation! Now are you going to make a ginger kombucha??
