Yikes, I can’t even believe I’m saying this and maybe I shouldn’t. But here goes, I am REALLY glad the holidays are over! I’m actually happy to be back home, in my own bed, on my own schedule, and cooking my own food. Well, with one exception — the AMAZING creamy cauliflower soup I made for Christmas dinner (thank you Heidi Swanson, Supernatural Cooking) :)
Don’t get me wrong, its not that I didn’t enjoy my time off, or am especially excited to back to the daily grind; its just that a lot of family time often means a lot of eating bad food, drinking abnormal amounts of wine, and just generally being a lazy ass. I mean, I worked out (if you count chasing my ridiculously cute niece around) but I also sat around A LOT, drank A LOT, ate rich and fatty foods (more than) A LOT .

This was one of the best workouts I had all week (and I was buzzed!!)– have you ever had this much fun at the gym?
The absolute best thing about this holiday season (besides the AMAZING cauliflower soup and the bottles of wine I consumed) was the matching shirts my grandma bought for all the boys. They each got a polo with their name embroidered on the front. Absolutely wonderful. Totally and completely beautiful. Pure and total bliss. I can’t even describe how much I love this. Or maybe I just did…(Bryan won’t let me post the picture of him in the shirt…boo..even though he looks cute). But here’s the other boys just to give you a preview of how absolutely wonderful this was.

Aren’t they cute? Love, Love, Love this. Hopefully someday someone will send me the shots we took of them all lined up on the stairs like it was prom. Thank you cousin Kevin.
