It has been an exciting week - we not only kicked off 2010, but it was week one of GranolaFit Bootcamp - meaning the whole enchilada (a healthy vegetarian enchilada, of course) combining both the exercise and also the nutrition. Wooo freaking hooo! Everyone do a celebratory cartwheel and then get down and give me 20!

Over the past three months since we started GranolaFit Bootcamp, my bootcampers have been putting in the mileage and going the distance on everything from planks, pushups, jumping on one foot, running up endless amounts of stairs with weights in hand, mountain climbers, lunges, sprints and more.

And since I’ve always been a huge believer that overall fitness comes from a healthy diet and exercise, I wanted to help kickstart their diets in the New Year by offering them a fresh, organic blend of fruits and veggies every morning following their workouts. Because let’s face it, we don’t all get the proper amount of fruits and veggies we need every day and blending them up makes it that much easier.
This morning’s blend (one of my favorite blend’s thus far) was my Strawberry, Radish, Cucumber blend.
Ingredients:
1 cup apple juice
1 cucumber
3 small radish
6 strawberries
1/4 cup parsley
1 carrot
1 apple
1/4 cup ice
Place all ingredients in your Blendtec, choose juices/smoothies button and blend away!

Juice looks so good! Wish I had a blender that could make that…
I love the combination of cucumber and apple — yum!
Parsley?! Really?! Whoa, that sounds intense. Wouldn’t it be really…minty? But I supposed it also acts like basil? Hmm…
Aw, what a great instructor you are! Giving out fresh, organic juice to your bootcampers! I will have to try this.
GranolaFit Bootcamp sounds absolutely wonderful. I’d love to do that!
Looking good! Congrats on GranolaFit’s first week! 2010 is going to be a great year!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I have not heard of, nor have I tried Food Mills PB, but I’ll look out for it. I love trying new brands of PB!
Thanks for stopping by :) That smoothie has such a beautiful color!
Hi Jamie! To answer your question, I actually have not done yoga myself but would love to try it sometime, especially if it will improve my running! A trainer wrote that article on my blog and was suggesting yoga . . . I do love to walk and bike, though! It’s great to find your blog — I love it and look forward to coming back and reading your balanced posts!
